Workshops on organic farm in 2010
This year we organize a few workshops for groups and individual persons in the farm maximum 6 persons. In Avô in mid Portugal, surrounded by mountains and rivers.
We are Marianna and Helder and live here more than 20 years on the farm. Beside this we also run a Pension in the village and rent a beautiful little house next to the farm.
Helder is Portuguese and Marianna is from origin from Holland. Of course you can practise the Portuguese language but we also speak Dutch and English.
- Groups will stay in the house next to the farm, while doing the workshop.
- You also could choose to stay in the pension in the village, we will have a special price during the workshop (please communicate).
Depending on the season we will organise the next activities:
From 15 September 2010
- Pick grapes and making wine
- Making bread in traditional wood oven
- Making jam from fresh picked fruits
- Making beautiful walks in the area with a guide
- Giving food to the animals
- One day we make a trip to the villages
Of course you will have enough free time.
Price: € 275 a person a week.

- Making liquor in own distillery
- Making bread in traditional wood oven
- Picking chestnuts and roasting them to eat
- Picking mushrooms with a guide
- Making jam from fresh picked fruits
- Making beautiful walks in the area with a guide
- Giving food to the animals
- One day we make a trip to the villages
